Description: Join SFLUMSÂÂÂ’s AmeriCorps Team Your Chance To MAKE A Difference In Our community! SFLUM is recruiting community members who want to make a difference to join the SFLUM AmeriCorps Team. Members serve in our Branches, ASSETS Business Development and Financial Education/ Tax Preparation programs. Program sites are located in florida City, South Miami, North Miami Beach, and North Miami. During their service, members receive a living allowance of $12,500; earn an education award in the amount of $5,550; and, are eligible for Student Loan Deferment, Medical Insurance and Child Care benefits. Applicant must be US citizen, or lawful permanent resident. “Through service, I discovered that there is so much that one person like me can accomplish,” says AmeriCorps Member, Gabriela Chavez. permanent resident alien; at least 20 years old; and, able to commit to completing 1700 service hours in one year. All AmeriCorps Members receive relevant training and mentoring to equip them for their tasks at SFLUM and prepare for their long-term career goals.
