Position Summary



We are looking for an entry-level Search Analyst to facilitate the day to day management of search marketing programs. The Search Analyst position will be responsible for the creation, optimization, execution and backend reporting of client search initiatives. This position requires an individual that can manage multiple tasks at once and independently manage their own time. Attention to process and detail is a must. This person must be passionate about search based communications and personally vested in setting the industry standards for SMG Search.



Specific Responsibilities



The Work:

Search Analysts are responsible for day to day progress of their client's search engine marketing campaigns and ensuring timely completion and success of projects. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for:

  • Planning and executing paid and natural search campaigns for clients

  • Establish keyword and copy strategies

  • Staying informed on evolving search landscape channels, tools, trends and providing insight both internally and externally

  • Build out keyword recommendations to set client budgets

  • Management of Search Marketing bid tools for:

    oCampaign trafficking

    oCampaign optimization

    oCampaign reporting

  • Monitor and report on campaign performance and make improvement recommendations

  • Daily integration with the major search engines including Google, Yahoo and MSN



    Required Education, Skills, and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university

  • 0-2 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or media planning preferred

  • Discipline in which strong creative thinking and/or analytical skills are leveraged

  • Strong desire to work with the search and other emerging and/or search channels

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Fluent in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken a must

  • Technical proficiency, particularly with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; includes the ability to quickly learn new desktop applications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Solid interpersonal and teamwork abilities and ability to work without supervision

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities

  • Basic knowledge of Paid search and Natural search marketing preferred

  • Media math knowledge preferred
