You'll look great on the Course with this bag . I Know because I'm a Caddy Girl that works on many golf courses . And To celebrate 100 years in the golf club business, MacGregor Golf is introducing limited edition Centennial reproductions of some of the most popular clubs in its history.
A set of four persimmon woods, a Yardsmore putter, and the VIP TP63 set of irons have been created as collector's items, modeled after the original versions and hand-crafted with precise detail by veteran clubmakers.
"We were very exacting in our attention to detail for the Centennial products," said David Gibbons, president and CEO of MacGregor Golf. "We didn't want the reproductions to simply look like the originals, without any historical credibility. We wanted to make clubs that actually look, feel and play like the originals because they're made with the same materials and the same craftsmanship they were created with years ago."
Led by their Director of Research and Development James Bode, the company consulted with retired MacGregor master craftsmen in Cincinnati, to discuss details like exact finishes, finishing techniques, and even the same leather grip styles that were used to ensure that the reproductions are historically accurate. Each Centennial set comes with a hardwood display rack boasting a brass plate engraved with the matching limited edition number and key facts about each product's history.
The putter, woods and irons each has a special history with MacGregor, and they symbolize the type of early craftmanship and thinking that has gone into MacGregor club products for 100 years.
MacGregor Centennial Persimmon Woods
MacGregor persimmons have long represented the highest quality woods in the industry. For their Centennial, MacGregor has recreated four of their most famous drivers.
"We believe the success of the Centennial products will become the launching pad for all the great clubs in MacGregor's future," said Gibbons. "We're looking forward to another one-hundred years of innovation and success." -0-
