Supervisor, Machine Maintenance (shift TBD) – Miami

***SHIFT TO BE DETERMINED - MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK ANY SHIFT***

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Supervises employees who install, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment in compliance to all applicable company, regulatory and departmental policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
1.Directs subordinates in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment to support manufacturing operations.
2.Creates, maintains, and improves the plant-wide, maintenance system.
3.Assures that the department is customer focused, proactive, and highly responsive to production demands.
4.Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
5.Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department.
6.Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
7.Directs workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
8.Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
9.Maintains highly accurate records of all maintenance activity using manual and computer based databases.
10.Requisitions and keeps supply of spare parts.
11.Provides direction to subordinates using established policies and precedents.
12.Accomplishes tasks mainly through direct supervision of nonexempt employees.
13.Monitors daily operations of the department and actively assists, or provides direction to, subordinates as required.
14.Ensures that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures and schedules.
15.Promote employee safety awareness and ensure safety/environmental compliance.
16.Ensure quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements are met.
17.Communicate/ensure departmental goals and objectives.
18.Creates and oversees departmental budgets.
19.Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC’s Quality Policy, Quality System and the appropriate regulations for the area they support. Ensure employees are trained to do their work and their training is documents.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the department’s workforce. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with companys’ policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
